Project context

I have worked with Romba for close to eight years, and the family-owned team is always a genuine pleasure to work with. Romba delivers civil construction, landscaping and irrigation projects, so the film needed to show the quality and scale of the completed work at Richard Murden Reserve while still feeling energetic, warm and accessible. This project was especially personal because it is a local park where I take my own children. Beyond documenting the quality of the completed playground, I wanted the film to capture the energy and enjoyment the space would bring to local families and children. Rather than creating a conventional construction completion video, we included a young child enjoying the equipment so the space felt active, functional and full of possibility. The approach combined sweeping aerial views with colourful ground-level details and natural moments of play, presenting the finished project as both a strong piece of construction and a vibrant community destination.

What I delivered

A fast-paced project showcase film for Romba
Aerial drone footage showing the full scale and layout of the completed playground
Cinematic ground-level footage highlighting play equipment, landscaping, finishes and construction detail
Natural footage of a young child using the playground and bringing the space to life
An edit designed for project marketing, website use and social media
A visual story balancing Romba's construction capability with the community experience of the finished space

Outcome

The finished film moves beyond standard project documentation. Captured through a combination of aerial drone footage and cinematic ground-level videography, it highlights the scale, detail and quality of the completed project. The aerial views make the considered layout immediately clear, while the ground-level sequences show the colour, movement and carefully considered play elements that give the space its personality. Including a child at play helps viewers understand the project as a vibrant and engaging place for the local community rather than an empty construction site. The result gives Romba a concise, polished piece of content that demonstrates its civil construction and landscaping capability while showing the human value of the work it delivers. A fantastic addition to the local community, and a film that feels professional, lively and true to the people who will enjoy it.
