Project context
Premier Team Building brought me in to photograph Hubify's Kick Off and Excel Awards. The day took the Hubify team away from their normal work environment and into Porter House Sydney, where they could spend proper time together, try something different and celebrate what they had achieved. A big part of the event was the LEGO Brick Bosses challenge. It was brilliant to watch a room full of adults get playful and creative, work through problems and build something together. My job was to capture the event as it really felt: the concentration, quick ideas, hands reaching for the right brick, laughter around the tables, proud team photos and the reactions when the awards were presented. These are the events I really enjoy photographing, because the best pictures come from people genuinely connecting rather than performing for the camera.

The finished gallery gives Premier Team Building and Hubify a real record of the day, from the first LEGO pieces hitting the tables through to the Excel Awards and the final team celebrations. The strongest photographs are the unscripted ones: people leaning in to help, laughing at an idea, showing off a finished build and celebrating each other's wins. Good corporate event photography does more than prove an event happened. It gives prospective employees, clients and stakeholders a genuine look at what a company's culture feels like.
